Physical Parameters
Common specifications include thickness, width, and roll diameter. Thickness generally ranges from 20 μm to 200 μm, varying significantly based on the intended application. Width is customized according to the packaging machine model, ranging from tens of millimeters to over a thousand millimeters. Roll diameter is typically controlled between 200 mm and 600 mm to ensure stable unwinding during operation.
Mechanical Property Parameters
Key parameters include tensile strength, elongation at break, and puncture resistance. Tensile strength determines the material's load-bearing capacity under tension, while elongation at break reflects its flexibility. Puncture resistance relates to safety during transport and filling; collectively, these parameters determine the durability of the packaging.
Barrier Property Parameters
These are typically measured by Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) and Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR). Lower values indicate superior barrier performance against oxygen and moisture, making the material suitable for packaging food or pharmaceuticals that require high levels of preservation.
Regarding processing compatibility, parameters such as the heat-sealing temperature range, heat-seal strength, and coefficient of friction are also included. These metrics determine the operational stability of the film roll on high-speed packaging machines-influencing issues like tracking stability and seal integrity-and serve as critical technical references in actual production.
