Polyethylene (PE) is a fundamental material; valued for its flexibility and low cost, it is frequently used as an inner or heat-seal layer and is suitable for packaging general food products and household chemicals. Polypropylene (PP), on the other hand, offers superior stiffness and heat resistance, making it ideal for applications requiring structural rigidity or high-temperature sealing.

 

Polyester (PET) is incorporated when higher barrier performance is required. Known for its high strength and excellent printability, PET often serves as the outer layer to enhance overall abrasion resistance and visual appeal.

 

For products requiring superior protection against moisture and oxidation, structures incorporating aluminum foil (AL) or metallized film are used. Aluminum foil provides an effective barrier against light, oxygen, and moisture, making it a common choice for packaging coffee, pharmaceuticals, and premium food products.

 

Specialized roll films may also incorporate nylon (PA) to improve puncture resistance or utilize mono-material structures to meet environmental sustainability and recyclability standards. Overall, the material composition offers great flexibility, enabling multi-layer designs and performance optimization tailored to specific product needs.
